Today, my friends, was an incredibly tiring day and if you’d let me, I would love to tell you about it.
Let’s begin with this. Picture 1. After coming home from the gym this morning looking sweaty, gross and tired, Anj asked if I could drive her to the parlor. Such services, she said, would be rewarded with a salon treatment of my choice. So I obliged. Obviously. (Okay, just to make it clear, I still would’ve driven her even if she hadn’t offered anything in exchange.)
This morning was monumental because Anj, who has had long hair since high school (she is 29 now, btw), finally got her hair cut short. And it looks really really nice. :)
To the people who know me in real life, in case you see me and wonder: yes, I cut my hair. Again. It’s my vice and I should really REALLY stop.

About:

that's when i realized that words have wings;
they're kind of like birds but mostly like children,
whom you groom and raise.
you mold them and shape them well
and, like the sky that has no limits,
you hope that someday,
somebody will take them home,
call them their own;
that they will find a place to belong.
