We had lunch at C’s, a popular Italian restaurant in Clark. As I said, it’s about an hour-and-a-half away from the city. Some might call it an inconvenient lunch but that’s what I love most about my family. We take the term food trip literally. My parents have always loved trying out different cuisines, taking it upon themselves to teach us the value of adventure - which, I think, is essential in a world of culinary complacency.
C’s was more than worth the long drive, by the way.
L-R, Clockwise (taken in C’s foyer):
1. Mom and Anj (29)
2. Mom, me and Pao, my brother (24)
3. My dad, who doesn’t like being photographed. Funnily enough, he used to be famous back in the day. His photo used to get plastered in magazines and newspapers all the time. Next month, he will be receiving a lifetime achievement award. We are all so proud.

Notes:

About:

that's when i realized that words have wings;
they're kind of like birds but mostly like children,
whom you groom and raise.
you mold them and shape them well
and, like the sky that has no limits,
you hope that someday,
somebody will take them home,
call them their own;
that they will find a place to belong.
